Cookie policy

The website of SPANISH CONFEDERATION OF FAMILIES OF DEAF PEOPLE (hereinafter known as the website) uses cookies. Cookies are files sent to a browser via a web server to register User activities on a given website. The main purpose of Cookies is to provide users with faster access to the services selected.
Cookies also customise the services offered by the website, providing and offering each user information that is or that may be of interest to them, in line with the use they make of the Services.

The website uses cookies to customise user browsing and make it as easy as possible. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous user and his/her computer, and provide no references to deduce the user’s personal data. Users may configure their browser to notify and refuse the installation of Cookies sent by the website without this affecting the user’s ability to access the contents of said website. However, please note that this might affect the quality of website operations.

Registered, registering or logged-in users may benefit from more personalised and profile-oriented services by combining the data stored in cookies with the personal data used when they registered. These users expressly authorise the use of this information for the stated purpose, regardless of their right to refuse or disable the use of cookies.

The Website will also be able to ascertain all the services requested by users so that they can provide or offer information appropriate to the tastes and preferences of each user.

WHICH TYPES OF COOKIE EXIST?

Depending on their permanence, cookies can be divided into:

  • Session cookies”: These expire when the user closes the browser.
  • Persistent cookies”.These expire as soon their purpose is met (e.g. for the user to remain identified in the Services) or they are deleted manually.

In addition, depending on their Purpose, cookies can be classified as follows:

  • Performance cookies: This type of cookie remembers your preferences for the tools in the services so that you do not have to reconfigure the service every time you visit the site.
By way of example, this type includes:
    • Volume settings for video or audio players.
    • Video streaming speeds that your browser supports.
  • Geolocationcookies: These cookies are used to find out which country you are in when you request a service.
This cookie is completely anonymous and is only used to help focus the content on your location.
  • Registration cookies: Registration cookies are generated once users have registered or subsequently opened their session, and are used to identify them in the services for the following purposes:
    • To keep users identified so that, if they close a service, the browser or the computer, and then return to said service at another time, they will remain identified to make browsing easier without having to identify themselves again.
This function can be deleted if the user presses the “logout” function, so that this cookie is deleted and the user will have to log in to be identified next time he/she starts the session.
    • To check whether users are authorised to access certain services, e.g. to enter a competition.
  • Analytical cookies: Whenever a user visits a service, a tool from a third-party provider generates an analytical cookie on the user’s computer.
This cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will be used during subsequent visits to the Web Services to anonymously identify the visitor.
    The main purposes are:
    • To allow for the anonymous identification of browsing users of the “cookie” (identifying browsers and devices, not people) and, therefore, the approximate counting of the number of visitors and their trends.
    • To anonymously identify the most popular content and, therefore, the most attractive to users.
    • To learn whether the accessing user is new or whether this is a repeat visit.
    • Important: Unless the user decides to register for a web service, the “cookie” will never be associated with any personally identifiable data.
These cookies will only be used for statistical purposes to help optimise the user experience on the site.
  • Behavioural advertising cookies: This type of “cookie” allows for the information on the ads displayed to each anonymous user in the web services to be expanded. Among others, the duration or frequency of viewing advertising spots, any interaction with them, or user browsing patterns and/or behaviour are stored, as they help form an advertising interest profile.
They therefore help provide advertising that is in line with user interests.
  • Third-party advertising cookies:
In addition to site-managed advertising in its services, the website offers its advertisers the option of serving ads through third parties (“AdServers”).
This way, these third parties can store
    Cookies
sent from the web services of user browsers and access the data stored in them.
