TREATMENT OF TINNITUS WITH RETRAINING THERAPIES (TRT) IN PATIENTS WITH HEARING LOSS
GOAL
The goal of this study is to assess the effectiveness of TRT as a treatment for tinnitus. To this end, a diagnostic protocol is developed and parameters are established to assess the intensity and incapacity generated by tinnitus in the individual (phase 1).
In the second phase of the study, the results obtained in each group at 6 and 12 months of treatment with TRT are described and the results obtained with two control groups are compared:
- a group of patients on a waiting list before being assessed
- a second group that failed to complete all the treatment
This is the first work performed using a case-control clinical trial.
