FIAPAS is delighted to inform you of the *27/2007 Law on sign language and means of support for oral communication, which places us very much at the forefront of any other initiative in our European environment and responds to the demands of ALL hearing loss people and their families in their communicative diversity, with a dual purpose: learning, knowledge and use of oral language (means of support for oral communication), and learning, knowledge and use of sign language.
In drafting this Law, FIAPAS has played an active, effective role in favour of all hearing loss people and has particularly done so with a central focus: the rules must solve current situations but with an eye always on the future. A future that in this case is the guarantee of access for our hearing loss children to all existing scientific, technological and educational advances.
