The Study was conducted on a final sample of 100 students from 3rd and 4th year of Primary Education and 3rd and 4th year of Secondary Education from 13 autonomous communities. Through the research, a group of hearing loss students was identified who, as a group, depart from the tendency of having very low levels of literacy proficiency, which was the keynote in previous research. This Study is therefore highly innovative in terms of scientific literature on the subject.

Based on these good findings, the study of the variables influencing the acquiring and development of effective literacy skills is explored in greater depth. The conclusions drawn, which are of great interest because of the novelty of their supporting evidence, are a valuable reference for educational and social decision-making with regard to hearing loss people.
