The children’s story shortlisted in the 2016 “El Libro Viajero” competition presented by a group of deaf boys from ASPASOR-Alava aged between 5 and 10, based on the adaptation of the story “La cigarra y la hormiga” by Félix de Samaniego.
A project to promote reading for deaf boys and adolescents.
This project has been running since 2013 thanks to funding obtained through the Call for proposals for the promotion of reading and Spanish arts by the Secretary of State for Culture of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, with co-funding from the ONCE Foundation.
The participating associations hold Reading Workshops for deaf boys and adolescents (aged 5 to 16) who communicate in oral language.
