COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE USE OF MAGNETIC INDUCTION SYSTEMS IN PERFORMANCE VENUES

The award-winning work is in line with one of the goals of FIAPAS, namely to eliminate communication barriers affecting people with hearing loss and to encourage their participation in social, educational, cultural and leisure-related activities to which they do not have access through regular means or which are extremely restricted.

The study, which was especially valued for its practical application, shows that the magnetic loop is an auxiliary aid for people who wear auditory prosthetics (hearing aids and implants) of proven efficacy in public spaces.

This is a comparative study that shows that magnetic loops facilitate and improve the auditory accessibility ofhearing losspeople with hearing aids and/or implants, allowing for the highest percentages of comprehension of the spoken word to be reached.

Technical aids for hearing and oral communication support products are tools that provide autonomy tohearing losspeople, ensuring the principles of standardisation and universal accessibility in accordance with the current regulatory framework.
